Here is the beginning of the Macherner WorkCamps. Due to the bad impression that the outer walls of the Leulitz church made on us, we worked for three years from 2004-2006 in our own parish at the church. Thankfully we were accommodated in former company apartments of Macherner Landwirtschafts GmbH & Co KG in the village.
2006 was the "clean-up camp". We removed mountains of rubble, finished work on the cemetery quarry stone wall, started installing a group of robinia wood in front of the church, continued working on the brush plaster of the new tower walls built in the 1990s…
In our free time we played a lot of volleyball, were swimming in the surrounding lakes, were fed up in the Lilly Vanilly ice cream dinner, had campfires every day, were to the windsurfing course at the Naunhofer gravel pit and were again creative with many things. Since a Ghanaian flag had been seen in our accommodation, a unit of customs (black worker search) visited us
