The area in Sehlis is large – there is a good campfire site – large meadows, construction wagons… so definitely good basic conditions for versatile possibilities…
And: we have our suitcases and utensils of the Artistik for Fun machers with: so from the sock poi to the RopeDart ball, the Levi stick, juggling balls to full fire show equipment with Poi, Contact-Staff, RopeDart, fans, candles, juggling-U, Diabolo – here everyone can try what the stuff holds…. – to then make a program on the final evening.
Arrival Saturday: 2 p.m. at the latest, we will be waiting for you at the camp site in Sehlis. After the Corona test and a short inspection of the grounds, we will have coffee together at 3 pm. Afterwards you can set up your private sleeping place/tent etc. or we will set up all the things we still need to set up for life in the camp (e.g. two big tents of the scouts) and pick up food donations etc. if necessary. The bicycles are subjected to a safety check and small repairs are done immediately. The evening is dedicated to more intensive introductions of all participants, games and the campfire – until open end.
Sunday: In Sehlis we attend the service in the village church – this is tailored to our camp. After an informative walk through the village, we cook together. Evening: The Horizonte AG of the Verein für nachhaltiges Leben und Arbeiten e.V. explains to us where we are, what is going on here and what our WorkCamp is for – we are sworn in to the project, so to speak…. of course campfire
Monday: after work we go swimming in the Parthebad Taucha or if it rains in the Sachsentherme in Leipzig-Paunsdorf… of course campfire
Tuesday: let’s get actively involved in experiential education… of course campfire
Wednesday: “Eat ice-cream to the brim” either at the mobile ice-cream van of the Eilenburger Eiscafé Krause in Sehlis or by bike to Taucha to the ice-cream café… of course campfire
Thursday: on the river Mulde between Canitz and Eilenburg – paddling with big rubber dinghy and canoes – with stops in between – and lots of joint fun :-)) of course campfire
Friday: the last few years have taught us that we usually want to “finish off” a few things on this working day, and a few workers add two hours of work on the back… Otherwise, the afternoon is dedicated to preparing our closing party on Saturday, playing together and time for chilling out. It would be nice if you could bring some ideas or things for the closing evening from home…. campfire, of course.
Saturday: Trip to the city: Leipzig is calling! Depending on your mood, we’ll show you our cool places, take you on a guided city tour if you like, or leave some time for our international guests to go shopping. In the evening, we will have our final party in Sehlis with the residents and friends of “Schmiede 4” – our project partner: of course with a fire show in which you can participate, barbecue, our interludes prepared on Friday and surprise acts…. of course campfire.
Departure Sunday: The last day of the camp is dedicated to your feedback, the dismantling of the camp and the departure. Before the first “goodbye” we will come together for a travel blessing. The end of the camp is around 2pm after a leftover meal – anyone who can help out a little longer is welcome to do so. (As for many of us the normal working day starts again on Monday, we would like to keep the extra work during the week to a minimum – thank you).
